Event: A workshop to discuss effectively addressing alcohol related harm

Title A workshop to discuss effectively addressing alcohol related harm
Description

Wandsworth Borough and NHS Wandsworth have identified alcohol related harm as a priority area in its joint Strategic Needs Assessment. Delivering a sustainable and effective response to alcohol related harm will require the consensus and engagement of a wide stakeholder group. NHS Wandsworth has identified alcohol related harm as one of its three top priorities for its Quality , Innovation Productivity and Prevention programme for 2012/13 providing a potential source of investment in the delivery of this objective.

We are keen to hear the views of stakeholders as to how we can address alcohol related harm both at a community and service level and are therefore inviting you to a half day workshop (09.00 to 13.00) to be held at the Kairos Centre in Roehampton on February 27th 2012.

To inform discussions we will present the strategic partnership’s thoughts as to how we can most effectively address alcohol related harm. We will also present a case study of how an evolving partnership between services and communities is seeking to address the issue of street drinking. A presentation by Drink Wise North West will demonstrate how partnerships can begin to challenge some of the traditional constraints in reducing alcohol related harm.

We hope very much you will take time to attend and share your thoughts with partners.

Please  r.s.v.p to carol.martinez@wpct.nhs.uk by Wednesday 8th February.
